Meridiaan takes part in Amnesty International’s writing marathon

“It is crucial to defend human rights. If violated, taking action is imperative”, says Hilmi, one the students participating in the writing marathon on 15 December 2017. Together with Amnesty International, the students wrote their letters at Ghent’s Vooruit.

Amnesty International’s goal is to send at least 50.000 letters so other writing marathons will be held all around the country until 31 December. Because: “the greater the fist, the bigger the pressure for authorities to ensure social justice.”

Meridiaan hopes Amnesty International will have achieve their goal by the end of the year. In any case, Meridiaan’s students have made their contribution.
