Vustal Beringen helped De Draaischijf, a non-governmental organization that defines itself as “an organization where people take the floor”, organise an accessible event on 2 February 2018. For the event, everyone was welcome, including society’s more vulnerable individuals. To organise everything, Vuslat Beringen lent a hand to the organization and together they arranged an evening meal for the less affluent.
On the menu, participants could find fries, soup and stoofvlees[a type of Flemish stew beef]. The last two dishes were prepared by Vuslat, which also helped streamlining the event itself, after the meal preparations. Attendees received their meals at De Draaischijf, in Beverlo, at a cozy place named “the living room”.
At the end of the day, both organizations were able to look back on an extremely successful evening. Not only did everyone feel valued, but many friendships were forged.
