Sunday 23 September 2018, ASBL Dialogue attended mass at Pont-à-Celles, in the province of Hainaut. Afterwards, they distributed Ashure, also called Noah’s Ark Pudding. Traditionally, Ashure is shared with the community on the 10th day of the first month of the Islamic Calendar.
During the event, the Christians present had the opportunity to taste the special pudding themselves.
To shed light on the importance of Ashure for different religions, Mr. Tascioglu gave a short presentation at the end of the mass. The ceremony itself was marked by Peace and the willingness to share, as demonstrated by the messages exchanged by the participants. Thanks to the event, an interreligious dialogue could take place, leading (ultimately) to a more cohesive society.
