Share it:
Beltud organized a Turkish-Tea Evening in Antwerp. A presentation of Turkish tea and the Turkish culture was followed by a workshop om how to make Turkish tea.

The association for Belgian-Turkish Friendship (Beltud) organized a Turkish Tea Nights in Antwerp. Classical Turkish music was played all along the evening where the guests were first introduced to each other. Then a presentation of the association Beltud was given to inform the guests about the association’s activities. Next, Turkey and the Turkish culture were presented and the Turkish family structure was explained to the guests.

While conversing the association members explicated how the tea was prepared and which glasses were used for serving the tea. After receiving a detailed recipe of how to prepare Turkish tea the participants were divided into groups and prepared tea themselves.

In the end the presentation of Katharine Branning, author of the book "Yes, I would love to have another glass of tea / Bir çay daha lütfen" was watched with great interest. The tea evening ended with the serving of delicacies from the Turkish cuisine.
