Jury committee of The Colors of Belgium visits Istanbul

Koen De Bouw, Chantal Leyers, Merdan Taplak, Saddie Choua, Erkan Albay; big names in the Flemish film and music industry were the invitees of FEDACTIO during a cultural trip to Istanbul. This city trip was organized as a thank you for their contribution to The Colors of Belgium as members of the jury committee.

The trip was combined with visits to both the historical and cultural monuments of Istanbul and encounters with famous names from the Turkish television and music industry.

Highlights were of course the visit to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Süleymaniye Mosque. But the delicious evening meals along the Bosphorus are definitely worth mentioning.

A visit to the cultural foundation, Yedirenk Sanat Vakfi allowed for a mutual acquaintance between Turkish and Flemish artists.

The last night was spent for a musical interlude in Balaban Tekkesi in Üsküdar. For two hours, the guests enjoyed a live performance with various songs from the traditional Turkish music.

The trip ended with a visit to the editorial staff of ZAMAN. That one of the journalists recognized Koen De Bouw of Dossier K. was a pleasant surprise for him.
