Nearly 500 students of the last grade of secondary school from Wallonia participated in the fourth edition of the Social Science Olympiads 'OLYSSO', an initiative of the French Olympiad Association 'Francolympiades.' Amandine and Perrine Laridon Morimont of the Collège de Christ-Roi won the first prize.
The final contest was held at the Ministry of Education. In the morning, the finalists made their presentations in small groups before the jury. The winners of each category (health, citizenship and social cohesion, education and media) held their presentations to all jury members composed of MPs David Clarinval and Ahmed Laaouej, regional deputies Hamza Fassi Fihri and Alain Philippe Maron and academicians Soutmans, Erkan Toguslu, Huseyin Cakmak, Pascaline Delchambre and Luis Lopez.
Winners Laridon Amandine and Perrine Morimont were rewarded with a price of 250 euros for their research on the jury. They also gained the opportunity to do a social work placement abroad.
