Fedactio partners up with Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen for the Refugee Walk

On Sunday 30 September, the 3rd edition of the Refugee Walk was organised by Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen (the Council for Refugees in Flanders). More than a thousand enthusiastic walkers gathered in Mechelen for a walk of 40 kilometers. In total approximately 248.000 euros was collected, money used to improve the operations of Vluchtelingwerk Vlaanderen. With the funds, the organisation can help more asylum seekers and recognized refugees.

This year, Fedactio national was one of the many partners present on the event. Our volunteers handed out black tea and delicacies on the parcours, during the 1st and 3rd pause. With renewed courage and fuel, the participants were sent on their way again.

Fedactio would like to thank all of the participants, sponsors and volunteers for their commitment. Of course, Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen should also be lauded for their beautiful initiative.
