Fedactio Antwerp organises political speeddate

With local elections around the corner, most citizens are interested in the most prominent politicians of their city and more importantly, their views. Thanks to Fedactio’s event on Wednesday 3 October 2018, they had the opportunity to explore the political landscape, by engaging with the most important local politicians face-to-face.

On the event, every major party had a representative and participants were seated with a different politicians in subsequent conversation rounds. The politicians present were Philippe Debacker [Open Vld], Nabilla Aitdoud [N-VA], Tom Meeuws [sp.a], Nahima Lanjiri [CD&V] and Karen Maes [Groen]. In total, five tables were set up, each of which with a different conversation topic: economics, mobility, education, diversity and youth. The politicians were asked to rotate every 10 minutes, so that they could elaborate on every different subject to a changing audience.

Once every topic was discussed, participants, politicians and organizers could continue their talks during a well-organised reception. Hopefully, this event has allowed the ever-doubting voter to tick the box.
