Member association Golden Rose organises workshop around the dessert Achoura
On Saturday 6 October, Golden Rose organised a workshop about the dessert Achoura. According to the Turkish legend, the history of this dessert goes back to Noah's arc that stranded on the mountain Arat (Turkey) after the 40-day flood. Its passengers organised a large feast to celebrate and created a dessert with all the ingredients they could find on the arc. In total, the dessert was created from 40 components, to symbolise the 40 days the flood lasted.
