Waiting in line for some Baklava. |
The Tea Night on Friday 23 February in Genk was an overwhelming success. The aim of this activity was to bring people together, as well as to provide an educational experience for those interested in the culinary aspect of the Turkish culture.
Why is Turkish tea so popular? What role does Turkish tea play within Turkish culture? How is the brew prepared? To these questions, participants received answers during the short presentation lead by two enthusiastic narrators.
The informative session was followed by the tasting: the attendants enjoyed portions of baklava, a Turkish-tulip-shaped cup of tea and a cosy chat. To be continued.
